Walk by Faith is a three year Extramural Diploma Course run by the National Centre of Religious Studies. Enrol on a year by year basis, so if you complete only one or two years you still receive a certificate.
Year One - Certificate in Spiritual Formation
Year Two - Certificate in Biblical and Sacramental Formation
Year Three - Diploma in Religious Studies
The course provides an environment which fosters spiritual growth and builds on your own life experiences. No need to have undertaken previous study. An encouraging Tutor helps and supports you through the course.
Walk by Faith is taught using adult learning processes and material presented does not pre-suppose any previous study. During the course of their study participants will
better understand themselves and their faith
deepen their knowledge of Jesus Christ, the Scriptures and the Church
prepare for a possible catechetical role in the Church
The programme consists of
six comprehensive Study Guides for home study
six tutorial group meetings in a student's own area
six interesting assignments
two weekend seminars generally held in both Auckland and Northland.
